According to a survey, conducted by Career Arc, of more than a 1,200 job seekers and HR professionals, 60% of the candidates said they had a poor experience trying to apply for a job from submitting resumes, going through the interview process, and having clear insights on next steps.

In today’s age of keywords, algorithms, and virtual interviews, the entire recruiting process has become transactional, overly bias, and disconnected from reality. As a result, qualified candidates are passed on, as companies waste time and money searching for the “perfect employee”. IT’S TIME FOR A CHANGE!

Join San Diego Tech Hub and moderator Danny Cohan, and our panel of experts, Emma M. Sebastian, Sheri Byrne-Haber, and Claude Jones as they discuss how they are hacking the recruiting process by addressing old practices, biases, and helping job seekers take control of their careers. During the meeting we will touch on the following topics:

• The Impact of Biased Recruiting and Interviewing Processes
• The Myth of the “Perfect” Candidate
• The Importance of Writing an Inclusive Job Description
• The Power of Becoming a Proactive Job Seeker
• What role should Diversity Play in the Hiring Practices?

If you are looking for work, actively hiring, or a company leader exploring how to make a difference in your recruiting process, this session is for you.
