Tuesday, June 27th, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 6:00 PM PST

What is this event about?

Are you or someone you know impacted by recent layoffs in San Diego? The economic crisis is real, and it has uprooted both business owners and individuals, leaving many of us in stressful situations. We’re here to support, which is why San Diego Tech Hub has partnered with Workforce Partnerships and Council of Supplier Diversity to create a FREE half-day event focused on “Getting Back to Work Together” with a theme of empowering our community through employment.

According to a San Diego County WARN Report, 130 companies will permanently shut down or have layoffs from July 11th, 2022 to March 1st, 2024, impacting over 7,000 San Diegans. To address this, our event aims to bring community leaders together to help those impacted by layoffs navigate financial distress, job search strategies, career transitions, personal branding techniques, interviewing skills, and networking opportunities.

Join us on Tuesday, June 27th for an inspiring afternoon of learning, networking, and support. We have thought leaders from various industries who will share their expertise, offering words of encouragement, practical tips, and best practices to help rebuild your self-confidence and resilience in today’s job market.

The 4 Intelligences of Work~Life Empowerment, In an Impermanent World

There is much we learn from the ego-mind perspective about survival, fear, competition, doom. But, what about the heart-mind’s guidance on creativity, transformation, and collaborating directly with chance? Partnering the seen with the unseen may sound otherworldly, but it’s not. It’s essential and whole, and a critical skill to living a happy, healthy, vibrant, and prosperous life.

Come learn from Lori Wallace how the very impermanence of work actually works to your advantage – when entered into, mindfully and skillfully. We’ll talk about “antagonistic mentoring” as well as the genius of diversity for seeding your way forward in any lay-off, job search, or pivot. With a set of new practical and poetic skills in hand, you’ll be ready to end the suffering, and, instead, co-create with limitless possibilities –– and prosper!

“How do you calculate upon the unforeseen? It seems to be an art of recognizing the role of the unforeseen, of keeping your balance amid surprises, of collaborating with chance, of recognizing that there are some essential mysteries in the world and thereby a limit to calculation, to plan, to control.” –– Rebecca Solnit

The Winning Formula: 10x Your Productivity in Business…. and Life!

According to Inc. Magazine, the average entrepreneur wastes up to 5 hours per day on low value or no value activities. This leads to late nights, procrastination and eventual burnout. What can you do to prevent this? In this session, you’ll explore a three step process to plan, organize and prioritize your daily tasks to set yourself up for consistent success. Recapture those 5 wasted hours so you can have more time to discover your next career, build your business, and thrive in your personal life.

As a high-performance coach, Jarvis has conducted over 2000 hours of coaching with entrepreneurs and business owners to help them get to the next level in their businesses and life.

Through that experience, he made a startling discovery… their morning routine had the biggest impact on their ability to produce at a higher level. More specifically, those who “WON the morning” would go off and “WIN the day” and ultimately build a “WINNING LIFE.” From this, he engineered the “RISE & GRIND method” which will 10x your productivity so you can achieve 10x the results in your business and your life.
